Melbourne Convention + Visitors Bureau (MCVB) produces a suite of publications to promote Melbourne for conventions, exhibitions, business meetings and incentive travel, as well as to promote MCVB’s members' products and services, and the Bureau’s activities.
Melbourne Planner’s Guide
MCVB’s annual Melbourne Planner’s Guide is the flagship publication for Melbourne’s Business Events industry, providing meeting planners and event organisers essential information on premier venues, accommodation, products and services, as well as touring and leisure program ideas.
The Melbourne Planner’s Guide, which also includes a ‘Green Checklist’ to assist in planning environmentally sustainable events, is published in July each year.
Melbourne Convention Delegate Study
The Melbourne Convention Delegate Study 2010 was commissioned by the Melbourne Convention + Visitors Bureau (MCVB) to identify delegate travel patterns, expenditure and regional dispersal. We also wished to measure delegate satisfaction with their Melbourne experience and to benchmark performance against the landmark Delegate Study we initiated in 2006/07. The 2010 Study covers the period March to November 2010 and contains data from the completed surveys of 3,270 delegates from 87 countries.
Melbourne’s ‘Green Credentials’ Report
MCVB‘s Melbourne’s ‘Green Credentials’ Report lists the environmentally responsible initiatives of Melbourne’s leading Business Events suppliers, making it easy to make an informed decision about choosing Melbourne and Victoria’s green hotels, transport providers and caterers. A first for an Australian Convention Bureau, the Report was launched in 2008 and is updated mid-year, annually.
