Independent research confirms that Melbourne is a highly desired destination for convention delegates. According to the Melbourne Convention Delegate Study*, those surveyed believe Melbourne is a great city, is safe, has a friendly atmosphere with good conference facilities.
Local restaurants rated as a key feature of the Melbourne experience, as did its superb accommodation and public transport. For sightseeing, delegates were most satisfied with the Arts Centre and the Melbourne Museum. Public transport was also rated as a key feature of the Melbourne experience.
Additionally, almost half of all delegates to Melbourne also undertake in pre and post-event touring.
