The Melbourne Convention + Visitors Bureau (MCVB) is a not for profit organisation that ensures Melbourne is recognised nationally and internationally as one of the world’s best cities for hosting Business Events. MCVB is a partnership between the state government and private enterprise – its members and sponsors – and relies on these two groups for funding.
MCVB works with its members - who are leading suppliers to the Business Events industry, including accommodation, transport and entertainment providers, venues and caterers - to stage world-leading meetings, incentive programs, conferences and events in Melbourne and Regional Victoria.
This generates export dollars for the State of Victoria, and draws business from the lucrative Business Events industry to Melbourne and Regional Victoria.
