Melbourne Incentives
Melbourne is made for incentives and conventions.
Stylish and professional, this is a capital city which offers variety at every turn, from boutique shopping on tree-lined boulevards, to avant-garde galleries in hidden laneways.
Celebrated as Australia's home to the arts, sport and shopping, Melbourne is also the place to indulge in world-celebrated events - whether it's Formula One, The Australian Grand Prix, The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, Spring Horse Racing Carnival or The Australian Open Tennis Championship, Melbourne is sure to excite and inspire.
Melbourne enjoys a sophisticated, cosmopolitan city lifestyle. Yet, just one hour's drive takes delegates to a world away.
Whether sampling wine and produce at some 100 local vineyards, being pampered in an award-winning day spa, teeing-off at a world-class golf course, experiencing the stunning surf coast, or getting up close and personal with Australian wildlife at Phillip Island, few destinations offer such diversity.
Melbourne is also Australia's Business Events capital. Our excellent infrastructure, world-class accommodation and Australia's largest combined convention and exhibition facility, the only in the world to be awarded a 6 Star Green Star environmental rating, makes us a premier business and incentive destination.
Melbourne Convention + Visitors Bureau (MCVB) works closely with its partnership of around 300 premier industry providers to ensure you receive the best possible service in every aspect of event planning, resulting in rewarding, unique incentive programs.
This year, MCVB launched a green, low carbon impact incentive website, making organising green incentive programs in Melbourne and Victoria easier than ever before. The website includes Victoria's top 10 green incentive activities, sample itineraries, advice on planning a green Business Event in Melbourne and a green checklist for Business Events. Day 1
Morning
Discover Melbourne's hidden laneways and historic arcades on a special walking tour - find the city's best shopping secrets, and take in the history and architecture of Australia's largest labyrinth of cobblestone laneways and art deco arcades.
Enjoy lunch at one of St Kilda's outstanding restaurants. Set along the city's beachfront, relax at an award-winning restaurant such as Donovans, sipping chilled champagne and sampling local seafood.
Afternoon
Depart St Kilda on the back of a Harley Davidson motorbike. Let your 'wild child' take hold by taking a tour around Melbourne. Decked in leathers, you will discover the city from a different perspective.
Evening
Luxury knows no limits as you enjoy an intimate cocktail party on board luxury super yacht The Platinum. A unique luxury yacht built in Australia, The Platinum consists of five double cabins, each with their own ensuite, plus three levels for entertaining. Set sail along Port Philip Bay or to historic Williamstown, savouring the stunning Melbourne skyline as you enjoy five star dining, accompanied by the best Australian fine wines.
Day 2
Morning
Go "green" and make an everlasting contribution to the sustainability of Victoria's stunning surf coast. A great way to meet locals, and the perfect way to look after the environment, join a Coastal Revegetation Program, planting Indigenous plants along the coast. For your hard work and valued contribution, let the locals treat you to a seafood barbecue, or take a surf lesson, admiring your work as you surf alongside the invigorating sea.
Afternoon
After a rewarding morning, take time out to pamper yourself at one of Melbourne's renowned spa retreats. For a uniquely Australian experience, visit Li'tya Spa, which offers sensory treatments incorporating Aboriginal healing techniques and touch therapies. Choose from indulgence treatments, or soak up the sea's healing powers in a private seawater spa tub overlooking the bay.
Evening
Dine at Vue de Monde's Dom Pérignon Private Dining Room. For the ultimate indulgence, opt for the Dom Pérignon Experience, which includes vintage Dom on arrival, Vue's 10-course gastronome's menu and Dom Rosé to finish off the evening in style.
Day 3
Morning/Afternoon
Grape Graze the day away in the Yarra Valley. Located only 1 hour from Melbourne, the Yarra Valley is renowned as one of the Premier Wine Regions of Australia.
Start the day off at the jewel in the crown of the Yarra Valley, Domaine Chandon. Established in 1986 by Moët & Chandon, it's not hard to see why 20 years later the winery has been inducted into the Victorian Tourism Hall of Fame.
Next stop is a visit to Healesville Sanctuary where your personal Ranger will introduce you to some of Australia's 200 unique bush animals. Help feed kangaroos and koalas, and see native wildlife such as Tasmanian devils, wallabies and emus.
Enjoy lunch at Rochford Winery, taking in the picturesque views of the Yarra Valley. An array of different dining experiences awaits you, including casual dining in the café, a typical Australian BBQ on the winery's lawns, or a three-course meal matched to Rochford wines in the award-winning restaurant.
After lunch, visit Victoria's first winery - Yering Station. Learn about wine and the wine making process in a cellar door tasting, browse through the Yering Station produce store, or if you happen to be there for the Farmers' Market on the third Sunday of each month, pick up some fresh produce made and grown by some of the region's best producers.
After a full day of touring return to Melbourne to relax and prepare for the evening ahead.
Evening
Have your event reach new heights by holding an exclusive dinner on the 89th floor of the World's Tallest Residential Building, Eureka Tower. "Eureka 89" features luxurious private event space, with views spanning 360 degrees across Melbourne's expansive landscape.
Day 4
Morning
Multicultural Melbourne comes to life through a celebration of fresh food and great wine at the Queen Victoria Market. Take the "Foodies Dream" Tour, sampling your way through the largest market in the Southern Hemisphere, and learning how locals like to eat and drink.
Afternoon
"Fashion on the Fields" is just as much a part of the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival as is horse racing. Meet with a Melbourne milliner to design your own hat before heading to the stables to rub shoulders with champion trainers and famous race horses.
Evening
Enjoying your last night in Melbourne, journey to Flemington - the home of the Melbourne Cup Carnival. Experience the rush of the Carnival, as we re-create a race atmosphere, calling a televised race with personalised references to your team, as you cheer your horse home. Wearing your new Melbourne inspired, handmade hat, you can even make 'bets' with roving bookies, giving you a taste of the atmosphere of the Melbourne Cup - the 'race that stops the nation'.
Day 5

Melbourne is a city of style and sophistication. Take the time prior to your flight departure to explore the Melbourne shopping scene. From original, locally designed pieces found along the city's edgy Brunswick Street, to the best Australian and international brands along stylish Chapel Street, you will be spoilt for choice in Melbourne's shopping precincts.
